Did you find it difficult to get the pleats to press flat? I am making this shirt out of a crisp blue Oxford cloth and am going nuts because the pleated fabric won't lie flat--it puckers no matter how much I press, especially the pleats toward the sides. As my fabric is the same on both sides, I'm thinking of flipping the pieces over and having the "wrong" side showing. The pleats look great that way, too. This shirt is just gorgeous! If they do, you should be able to aquire this pattern at a reduced priced, lower than $16.50. But how are patterns priced? I saw it at $16.50 and then in the pattern book it is $27.50. I wanted to try it but for $27.50 I would like more than just a blouse for $27.50, maybe pants and skirt could be added. But I ended up with the pattern for $3.99 on sale, so this is great, but would not have paid $27.50 for just a blouse. Joan I love pattern 1165. But how are patterns priced?
