Below are answers to some frequently asked questions that will help you learn how our forum works:
Q: Who can post topics and participate in discussions?
A: All members of the Power Sewing community can participate in our forum!
Q: Is there a fee to becoming a member of the community?
A: Becoming a member of our community is FREE. Click here to register.
NOTE: If you are already a student of the Power Sewing WebTV Show or if you have previously subscribed to our Blog, there is no need to register. Just Sign In!
Q: How do I post a topic?
- Make sure you are Signed In.
- Click on the forum topic of your choice: WebTV Show, Today’s Fit Patterns, Site Questions or General Chat.
- Click on Add a New Topic.
- Give your topic a name and type in your discussion in the area provided.
- To save and post your topic, do the math problem required (this helps us funnel out spammers) and click Post New Topic.
Q: How do I reply to a post?
- Make sure you are signed in.
- Click on the post you would like to reply to.
- Click Reply To Post.
- Type in your reply.

Q: What’s the difference between each forum?
- The WebTV Show: Anyone can see and follow what has been posted in this forum; however, you must be enrolled as a student in the Power Sewing WebTV Show in order to post and participate in any discussion in this forum.
- Garment Sewing: This forum is open to ALL of our community members to discuss Sandra’s patterns, all aspects of garment sewing and to exchange ideas on their experiences.
- Learn To Sew: This forum is open to ALL of our community members to discuss Sandra’s Learn To Sew series.
- Site Questions: This forum is open to All of our community to post topics and discuss any issues they have with the site.
- General Chat: This forum is open to ALL of our community to post anything they would like to discuss with other community members.
Forum Etiquette
This forum was created for members of the worldwide Power Sewing community to come together and exchange ideas on garment sewing. It is meant to be a place to encourage creativity and to inspire others to become better garment sewers. We ask that our members adhere to the forum etiquette in order to maintain a friendly community:
- Be respectful of others posts, questions and opinions. Treat each post as you would want your own post to be treated.
- Please do not attack anyone personally.
- Please do not bash consumer products. If you have a problem with a product, take the issue up with the company itself.
- Please do not spam.
- If you would like to report any inappopriate posts, comments or replies send an email to support@powersewing.com.
- Power Sewing reserves the right to delete any post and to ban any communinty member from using the forum and any other site features.
