You have several options. One you can add 1/4″ to 3/8″ to the front crotch and add the same amount on the pants front down the leg ending the increase before the knee. Whenever someone is athletic with developed thigh muscles, the front pant may be tight. You could also use stretch denim for the jeans.

I made up the jeans pattern for my sister-in-law, Sarah. When she sits down the fabric across her thighs pulls. She would like more ease in the thigh area. I think I know what I need to do to give her that extra fabric, but I would like confirmation as to what needs to be done to the pattern to give her the extra fabric/ease she wants and needs. Sandra, can you give me some direction? Thanks!
