My understanding is . . . if it is a woven fabric and does not have a one-way design, meaning it shouldn't matter. Gn, the pattern pieces can be place with or against the grain. Good luck

It wasn't until I got this gorgeous fabric home that I realized the stripes actually run horizontal. (In the store, it was folded so it looked vertically striped.) I want to make a shirt from this fabric, but I want vertical stripes, which means cutting the pattern cross-grain. Although it's a woven, not a knit, there's still that slight difference in "give" cross-grain that I'll lose by changing the layout. Do I need to make any adjustments to seam allowances to compensate? (It's a basic denim shirt-type pattern, not a close fit.)
