Take some of your fabric scraps and test a seam using a small zig zag stitch (0.5 width), which is recommended for a seam on bias fabric. That small zig zag might solve your problem.

Thanks. Ill try that.

I just finished an unlined bias cut dress of 4 ply silk using a draped- neck pattern from Marfy. I basted the pattern pieces to the fabric before cutting(tedious) and everything fit together splendidly, but when it was done the back seam and angled waistline seam were all rippled. I had serged them, so I know there was too much thread…but if I resew those seams, how should I finish them to avoid this problem? Pinking and pressing open seems too raw. Any suggestions? Should I have lined this?
