Take the upper check measurement above the bust right under the armpit.

I pull the tape straight across as high under my armpits as I can.

The high bust measurement is especially important if you are larger in cup size than the standard size the patternmaker uses. For most patterns (not Sandra's), that's a B cup.

Hi,

Just looked at some of the learn to sew series and noticed that we need the upper chest measurement instead of the full bust to pick the size for some pattern manufacturers. How far above the full bust should we take this measurement?
