I actually did put the portrait neck piece on bias. Most everything matched up except the front pieces, vertical curved seams, were slightly off at one point. Thanks.

This may be one place where setting the pieces on the bias (or at least some of them) might work.

I am looking for some tips on matching plaids for a dress that has vertical curved seams down the front and a neckband that is like a wide portrait band with a raglan sleeve.It has been a long time and I am wondering about matching up the pieces when I place them on the fabric.
