I made pattern 7281 in my size and in muslin. I had to make some minor “additions” to the seams so the garment fit me. I then made 1081 – same size as 7281 and had to practically re draft the pattern so that it fit me (I am vertically challenged….too fat for my height). I had to add inches all around the vest. I realize the 1081 is a looser fitting garment but the sizing should be similar…..did I get a pattern for 1081 that was mis sized? Good thing I made it in a muslin first or I would have ruined my expensive fabric! I have been sewing for over 50 yrs and teaching sewing so I was shocked that Sandra’s patterns had so much difference in the sizes! I expect it from a commercial pattern…they do not have a clue!
